New mothers prefer hotels to hospitals

From Hotels Magazine:

Expectant mothers in Ireland are making the recession work for them by booking special deals in luxury hotels for their post-natal care, in preference to expensive stays in private maternity hospitals.

A growing number of pregnant women are avoiding the large bills associated with consultant-led private treatment by opting for free, communitybased midwifery services. Some are then using the savings to book into hotel suites within hours of giving birth, getting top-level after-care for far less than a stay in a private hospital due to the special deals on offer in the hospitality industry.

Button Maker

http://kalsey.com/tools/buttonmaker/

I’m sure you’ve seen various rectangle images that show some combination of RSS standards, like this:
button_rss_valid

Well, if you visit the site above, you can make your own buttons, with your own colours, with your own words. Just to test it, I put my name in and moved the separator bar:
button_graham_wing

Keep in mind that the buttons are only 80 x 15 pixels, so if the words are too long, it won’t fit. For example, I could barely fit Merry Christmas into a button:

MSN Messenger Web Version

http://webmessenger.msn.com/

I don’t really use Messenger that much, but it is useful to talk with some of the younger people at Church, so I usually have it running. Within the last week or so MSN has launched a web only version.

Feel free to add me to your contacts list:

Daddy, How was I born?

Chris sent me this…

Cyrus says: Daddy, how was I born?

Dad says: Ah, my son, I guess one day you will need to find out anyway!
Well, you see your Mom and I first got together in a chat room on MSN.
Then I set up a date via e-mail with your mom and we met at a cyber-cafe.
We sneaked into a secluded room, where your mother agreed to a download from my hard drive. As soon as I was ready to upload, we discovered that neither one of us had used a firewall, and since it was too late to hit the delete button, nine months later a blessed little Pop-Up appeared and said: You’ve Got Male!
And that’s the story, Virus…I mean Cyrus.

Check out this review by CNet:

If you’re still going to the Google or Yahoo home page to do Web searches, you’re missing half the fun–and you’re unnecessarily exerting your fingers. Toolbar plug-ins for Microsoft Internet Explorer–and now Firefox–make it easy and fast to look up Web references without having to type in another URL.
